How it works
Example of how the Feed-in Tariff works
1. P.V. (Photo-Voltaic) array is fitted to your roof. The size of your roof determines the size of the installation.
2. The array voltage is fed to an inverter, which converts the DC voltage intoAC voltage.
3. The AC voltage is fed back into the house electrical system via a PV meter.
4. The PV meter records KWh production for F.I.T (Feed in Tariff). Any electricity produced can be used for houosehold appliances, reducing the energy being drawn from the grid.
5. If no electricity is used by the house, it is fed back to the grid; the energy company will pay you for this.
